Xu Sumin has studied erhu since young. In 2007, She got admitted into Shanghai Conservatory of Music with top entrance performance scores. She has participated in many projects with major orchestras such as Shanghai Chinese Orchestra, Macao Chinese Orchestra, etc. In 2010, she was awarded Gold in Hongkong International Erhu Ensemble Competition. She successfully staged her recital concert in October, 2012.
